We at SCLC challenge all people of good will, of every persuasion, who believe in the principles espoused by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., to join us in our mission.
Become an SCLC member today!
As we continue to battle the Triple Evils of Racism, Poverty, and Violence that Dr. King often spoke about, SCLC, now more than ever, needs assistance and patronage from the community and its supporters in order to ensure that proper funding and human resources are available to carry out its mission to bring about the promise of ‘one nation, under God, indivisible’ together with the commitment to activate the ‘strength to love’ within the community of humankind.
Membership is critical to the growth and development of any organization in today’s world. A strong sustaining membership base reflects a united voice and shows support to the mission of the organization. Membership also provides human resources and financial support to fund the implementation of quality programs and services. Most importantly, membership allows you as an individual to show your appreciation to the countless people who have made precious sacrifices, including the ultimate sacrifice of their life, to ensure that all citizens have equal opportunities and protection of their basic human rights.
The SCLC is made up of Chapters and Affiliates located across the United States. You may want to create a chapter in your local community or affiliate your organization with the SCLC National Office. Memberships may be applied for through your local chapter or through the SCLC National Office.
For more information call the Department of Chapters and Affiliates at 404.522.1420 extension 30.
